Things are constantly changing and I'm constantly busy and never take the time to sit and do the work that I WANT to do! I really need to start though. Anyway, I've updated the list of where you can find me. I write a lot of blogs! I haven't been on my Lulu page for years so I'm going to run over there too. I can't promise anything, but I am going to TRY to check back more often.
I've been so busy lately with so many other things, that I have laid my writing aside. It's hard to find the time to pick up the pen, but I've been studying organizational techniques that, HOPEFULLY, will help me get this novel I'm working on now off the ground.
I've picked up a blogging gig with a new local store called Edgewater Books. It's a great store and that has grown tremendously. I love to help them and really wish I could do more, but my time is very limited. I've also been trying to pick up writing more for our local online news source, the Edgewater Patch. I would like to see it updated every week. Lastly, I've been trying to organize my writing/reading website that I've had forever. I keep changing things around and trying to make a cozy corner on the web, but have had a rough time organizing my ideas. I really think I have it though!
Thanks for visiting and check back soon!
My newest adventure is a blog on an online, local news site. I started the blog a couple years ago for our local sports organization. I don't have kids in that organization at the moment and honestly, don't know what's going on with it so I changed the blog theme to reading. I'm really enjoying this new theme because now I can write what I want to write and when I want to write it!
It looks like I'm in for another long haul! I'm not the quickest writer. I've got SO many ideas in my notebook and I don't think there's enough time in my life to write everything!! I'm slowly learning how to find time.
About a year ago I discovered WeRead. I kinda liked having a virtual bookshelf. It kept track of what I was reading and I wrote reviews after I finished books and posted them. WeRead also had a writer's profile page which was cool too. Since then I've noticed a few problems with WeRead so I went looking for a new digital bookshelf. I found Shelfari which I like a lot better. It's very cool looking. There are lots of members, groups and I can keep track of the books I have and the books I read. I just add books as I read them. Check Shelfari out!
I found a great website for writers called Writer's Cafe! It allows users to post their writing and let other writers review and critique the work. It's really set up nice and it's easy to use and there are a variety of ages too which is nice. Check it out when you get a chance.
With the joys of publication behind me, it's now time to sit down and figure out what to do next. I have a TON of notes that I have to organize which I'm currently doing as well as jotting down a few notes about the next book in the Sumner Bay series. I
12 years of work and it's finally done! Okay, not a full, uninterrupted 12 years. I took some time out to work, get married and have a couple of kids. :) It feels good to finally finish my first book in the Sumner Bay series.
Now that it's finished, I've
I've been writing my whole life and truly enjoy it. Thanks to Lulu.com I am now a published author!
